Privacy Policy

At VOLT we take the security of your personal data seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect through our website (tgckasa.com.tr) and the VOLT mobile application (the "Platform"), why we collect it, and what rights you have under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK").

1. Data we collect

  • Account details: name, email address, phone number, password (stored hashed).
  • Profile details: profile photo, store name and details (for sellers).
  • Order and payment details: delivery address, order history. Your card details are processed directly by our payment provider Stripe and are not stored on Platform servers.
  • Live broadcast data: for sellers who broadcast from the app, the video and audio stream transmitted with camera and microphone access (relayed in real time through Agora; no recording is kept), and broadcast chat messages.
  • Device and usage data: push notification token, in-app activity logs, IP address.
  • Photo access: when you choose to upload a product or profile photo, only the photo you select is accessed.

2. Why we process it

Your data is processed in order to create and manage your account, run order and payment processes, operate live auction and bidding features, provide customer support, send push notifications, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet our legal obligations.

3. Third parties we share it with

Your data is shared with the following service providers, strictly to the extent needed to deliver the relevant service:

  • Stripe: secure processing of card payments.
  • Agora: live broadcast (video and audio) infrastructure.
  • Firebase (Google): delivery of push notifications.
  • Courier companies: the address and contact details needed to deliver orders.

Except where required by law, your data is never shared with or sold to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data security

Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwords are stored hashed and cannot be reversed, and our servers are protected with reasonable technical and administrative measures.

5. How long we keep it

Your data is kept for as long as your account is active and for any period required by law (for example, the retention period for invoice records). When you delete your account, your personal data is anonymised or erased; records that must be retained by law, such as invoices, may be kept for the period the legislation requires.

6. Your rights (KVKK Article 11)

Under the KVKK you have the right to learn whether your data is being processed, to request information about it, to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly, to know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred, to request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate, to request its deletion or destruction, and to request that these actions be notified to the third parties concerned.

You can delete your account and its associated data at any time through Account → Delete my account in the app, or by contacting us.

7. Cookies (web)

Our website may use strictly necessary cookies for session management and to measure site performance. No third-party marketing or tracking cookies are used.

8. Children's privacy

Platform services are intended for users aged 18 and over; we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated; the current version takes effect as soon as it is published on this page.
